Welcome! My journey into movement and healing began in 2009 and continues to flourish. I became a certified yoga teacher in 2012 and 2013 through an immersive program in Auckland, NZ. These month-long experiences allowed deep engagement with yoga, breathwork, and meditation. The studies spanned seven months yearly and included weekend intensives at the Ashram, long before quick online courses became popular. Through extensive study and teaching in yoga, somatic healing, meditation, intuitive art, and the mind-body connection, I have gained a deep understanding of these disciplines to share with my clients.

As a mother of four, including two neurodivergent children, and as someone embracing my own neurodivergent identity, I value creating inclusive spaces that promote rest, balance, and reconnection for nervous systems pushed to the edge. My goal is to cultivate environments where you can unwind, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

I am a lifelong learner, dedicated to expanding my knowledge. I harness my ability to hyperfocus, integrating new insights into my work and personal life.

Tapping Into Intuitive Wisdom

I believe that each of us possesses an innate ability to access our intuitive healing wisdom through embodied presence. My greatest desire is to help people connect with this profound knowledge, empowering them to become fully active participants in their own healing journey. This is what makes my approach to wellness, healing arts and embodiment, truly special and different. It's about empowering you to discover the healer within and where possible creating opportunities for everyone, not just the wealthy.

A Calling - Women, Mothers & Seniors

I have a deep connection with women, mothers, and seniors, especially neurodivergent parents and those who are late diagnosed as neurodivergent. My goal is to help people of all ages reconnect with themselves, fostering a sense of support and understanding throughout their various life stages.

My work is dedicated to making a positive impact by creating a safe and nurturing environment for self-discovery and empowerment within these communities. A fundamental aspect of my philosophy is the significance of community support in the healing process. Healing is not merely an individual journey; it flourishes within a nurturing community that encourages connection and shared experiences.

This communal approach not only enriches individual healing but also fosters a sense of belonging and understanding, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles and triumphs.

"It was such a soothing experience for a frazzled nervous system. It was soft and gentle and a really lovely thing to get to do. Your classes are important. What you’re doing is meaningful and needed by mamas. Please keep doing what you’re doing and know that you’re helping us to take care of us and remember how important that is."

A Free Gift From Me to You

Rooted in the ancient Buddhist tradition, Metta meditation - also known as 'Loving Kindness Meditation' - is a gentle practice of silently repeating phrases of compassion for yourself and others. Traditionally originating from early Buddhist teachings, Metta is known to help cultivate emotional balance, reduce stress and self-criticism and support feelings of connection, calm and inner peace. Through the simple repetition of kind intentions, this practice invites the nervous system into softness, presence and compassion. It is a meditation that I use on occasion in my restorative classes and is here as gift for you, warmly, Melissa.
